
1. When should I order my cake?
We recommend you order your cake as soon as you decide on a wedding date. We prefer three to four months prior to your wedding date, however there are times when we can be more flexible. Every effort is made to accommodate last minute orders.
2. How can I reserve my date?
Your date is reserved when a contract is signed and the necessary down payment is received. (See payment terms below for details)
3. What is fondant? What does fondant taste like?
Fondant is a malleable sugar dough, which creates a smooth, almost flawless finish that is seen in most wedding cakes. Depending on the type of fondant it is laid or poured over the cake. It has a neutral taste much like marshmallows that can be flavored to most any taste you may desire.
4. For a Birthday or Celebration cake what size do I need?
Cake Size Servings (approximately)
8 inch round cake - 10-12 servings
10 inch round cake - 35-40 servings
1/4 sheet cake - 20 servings
1/2 sheet cake - 40 servings
3/4 sheet cake - 60 servings
full sheet cake - 80 servings
5. What wedding cake toppers and ornaments should I use?
We suggest that you order your wedding topper at least one month in advance.
There are various types of ornaments to choose from like porcelain, ceramic, plastic, and fresh flowers.
Keep the weight of the cake topper in mind when picking the size, if you decide to go with
a light cake you should not have a heavy ornament.
6. For wedding cakes how many tiers do I need?
We suggest picking the size of your cake by the amount of guests attending the wedding. Add 10 servings if you are planning to keep the top tier of the wedding cake.

PAYMENT TERMS
We accept Cash, Cashiers check, Money Orders, Pay pal, and Personal Checks will be gladly accepted. There will be an additional $30 charge for any returned checks.
We require a 50% of the estimated total as a deposit to reserve our services. The remainder of the balance will be due 2 weeks before the event. There will be a separate rental fee required (fountain $10, cake stand $6).

Delivery and setup charges are as follows:
The charge for the set up and delivery will be $30.00 (additional $2 a mile for deliveries beyond 30 miles from Dee's Cake Designs)
